About This Event

The College of the North Atlantic’s Textile & Apparel Design Program will present a student and instructor exhibition of Small Works. This show was originally part of the Craft @ the Edge International Conference and includes works from students studying or graduating between 2020-2022. Small Works presents pieces which push the boundaries of craft making and demonstrate strong aesthetic and technical skills. Students were challenged to design work in their studio areas based on the concept of a handmade future, and to create work within a specific size parameter (12" square). Each student could create their own concept around the theme, and use the skills and techniques they wished. Artists: (Instructors) Stephanie Stoker, Susan Furneaux, Barry Buckle, Sonya Coish and Jen Cake (Students/graduates) Gillian Read, Tara Hayes, Deborah Lee, Chibuike (Kizito) Osuizugbe, Eva Janes Walsh, Kaitlin Hickey, Kaitlyn Smith, Zemia Taher, Erica Conway, Summer Hartin, Deanna Coombs, Mandeep Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Bansari Patel, Harpinder Kaur, Sarah Crowe, Matthew Woodland, Daisy Taylor, Beck Macleod, Christina Oates, Kathleen Murphy, Emily Taylor.
