Using previously loved clothing and natural fibers, Winnie creates wearable, functional and family heirloom mats. She is a Juried Member of NL Craft Council who has also received Accreditation from the NL Crafts of Character and St. John's Farm Market. Winnie's has been commissioned by Engulfed 2024, the Town of Torbay, Campaign for Wool, and private individuals. Mats have been purchased by the City of St. John's and many individuals. Her work has been published in Magnificent Bugs in Rugs, Hooking Skies, and Rug Hooking Magazine. Winnie's work has been exhibited through the Rug Hooking Guild of Newfoundland and Labrador (RHGNL) The International Guild of Handhooked Rugs, in partnership with Anastasia Tiller, Visual Artist, and most recently on the Catwalk in Montreal during Montreal's Fashion Week in 2024. Certified as Instructor by RHGNL in 2012, Winnie offers workshops both online and in person ranging from beginner through advance.
