Becoming a member of the Craft Council of NL opens access to a dedicated community of artists and craftspeople in our province. Members are the first to know about internal opportunities, as well as information from Craft Councils throughout the country. Members are also able to join and create their own profiles on the Citizens of Craft website, a national resource for craftspeople and craft supporters. With more than five decades of experience in supporting the craftspeople of our province, the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador is a dynamic organization that continues to evolve as the needs of craftspeople – and the world around them – change. To become a Marketing Member and have the opportunity to sell your product in the Craft Council Shop & Pantry, participate in our annual Christmas Craft Fair, and other marketing opportunities, your product must first be accepted by our Standards Committee as meeting the standards of quality.
In order to meet the Standards of Quality, a craft product must excel in the elements of technique, design and materials used. Work should show a distinct and personal style of the maker – any or all of these elements illustrate the individuality of the maker, the product and the product line.

Our next Standards Meeting date is TBA. To submit your product to the standards committee, please include several examples of your work along with the completed Product Review Application.
