Cups Cups Cups - is a thorough investigation into the heart of the most intimate and well-loved ceramic object - the cup. Wheel throwing and hand building demonstrations, drawing exercises and handle exploration will all be key components of this 10 day workshop. We will finish off this course with a firing of the wood burning kiln, with thoughtful and playful loading considerations. We will strategize to best take advantage of the ash and flame path. Each day is divided into studio time and relaxing time. During studio time, we delve into the various topics covered in the retreat. During relaxation time, we take cooking classes, relax in the spa, visit the beach and local towns, learn Italian, and chill out. Class time is balanced with savouring all that Tuscany has to offer.
